The tide was at it’s only low of the day in the early hours of the morning when Pop, Barrie Ian Hermanson, passed at Sechelt Hospital, Sunday, November 24. Born in Swift Currant Saskatchewan, one of seven children, the family moved west to New Westminster, when Barrie was a mischievous lad of ten. He married his love Bonnie in 1964. Always a hard working man he laboured throughout BC, and Alberta predominately in the logging industry, and then later in life for Barrie Junior, his first born, at Barrie’s Truck and Car Wash in Delta. More locally he started, and operated Noah’s water, and then in his last years worked behind the deli counter at the Independent. Throughout his life Barrie had a character of smiles and charisma, and was known for his ability to interject wit or jokes into the moment. Always bad, repeatable and funny.Truly ‘Pop’ style.

Bonnie passed November 7, 2021. He is survived by three siblings, Agnus, Inez, and Dale; his children, Barrie, Ronnee, and Rodney, their spouses Suzanne, Kirby, and Jenn; and grandchildren; great grandchildren, and great great grand children.
