Forty-eight riders took part in the Ride the Coast motorcycle show and shine and poker run sponsored by Gibsons Legion Branch 109 on June 22. The event was a fundraiser for Legion Week, and the ride took bikers from Gibsons to Garden Bay. Winners of the various bike categories were: Best Touring, Ultra Classic 2006, Wayne McMillan. Best Cruiser, Memorial Special, Rod Johnston. Best Classic, 1959 BMW, Carlos Gerbrandt. People’s Choice Award, 2004 Harley Road King Skull Custom, Blake Lambert (pictured).
