Pender Harbour-Egmont highlights: Thank you to the volunteers who create Christmas festivities

Also, the food bank needs help
Pender Harbour

Welcome to November! Time to chat about the festive season landing on our doorstep.

Many  of our champion volunteer-based societies and groups have already been deep into creating events that are Christmastime. Without these tireless, dedicated volunteers, our calendars would be empty, void of wonderful activities and events. Think about those faces you see time and time again at so many harbour happenings. On behalf of our community thank you to all of you. You are so appreciated.

The Pender Harbour Choir has been rehearsing  for their Christmas concerts. Here are the dates to mark on your calendar: Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.  at PH School of Music and Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens in Sechelt. Tickets $25 at door, through a member of the choir or at EarthFair Store.

With Christmas coming our local food bank needs your help. They distribute to more than 200 families and individuals on a biweekly basis in the Pender Harbour and Egmont areas. November proceeds from the Rotary Rocks 50/50 will be committed to the Pender Harbour Food Bank. Buy your lucky tickets now and everyone wins!
