Pender Harbour-Egmont highlights: ‘O Come All Ye Soulful’ to the School of Music on Dec. 8

“O Come All Ye Soulful,” Dawn Pemberton and Jodi Proznick, Sunday, Dec. 8, 2 p.m. at the School of Music is the fantastic holiday concert in the Pender Harbour Music Society’s 2024/2025 series. Welcome two of Pender Harbour’s favourite women of music and award-winning powerhouses –– vocalist Dawn Pemberton and bassist/bandleader Jodi Proznick. With their all-star band they will bring joy and soul to your best loved holiday classics, made famous by the likes of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, John Legend, Otis Redding, and more! The Pender Legion annual general meeting is scheduled for the same date, Sunday, Dec. 8,  at 1 p.m. This is the elections meeting.  

Preparations for the Pender Harbour Community Christmas Market are ramping up. A call out for donations for the White Elephant Table and items for the Silent Auction. Contact coordinator Lesley Durant to donate/volunteer, cell: 778-840-1692; email:  [email protected].  

The Harbour Gallery will be open during the Christmas Market and Winterfest Saturday Dec. 14. There will be endless choices of art in all sizes and mediums, gifts for those special people on your shopping list. This is also the perfect time of the year to treat yourself too! In addition, there will be sale prices on a selection of original art, along with unique Christmas cards.  

The Pender Harbour Choir presents their holiday gift of music Merry Little Christmas, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. at the School of Music and Dec. 17, 7 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens. Tickets $25 at door, through a member of the choir or at EarthFair Store.  

Dec. 15, the Carol ships will sail from the government dock at Millennium Park when darkness falls.  

The hardworking volunteers will be back at the hall (Egmont Community) this Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. Come join them. Bring work gloves.  

Food Bank Hampers are now available at IGA. $20 and $50. They contain the most useful items and make donating to our food bank easy.
