Learn to play ukulele, enjoy live music and dancing – there are many great musical offerings in the Harbour this month.
Live music is back every Sunday at the Legion 2 to 5 p.m. $10 at the door. This coming Sunday, March 3, returning favourites Blue Western will have you dancing the afternoon away.

Have you ever wanted to try the ukulele? This is your chance to see what all the ukulele fun is about. This workshop is an introduction to ukulele. You will leave the workshop with basic chords, simple strum and playing your first song. There are loner ukuleles available on request. Beginner workshop, two sessions, Tuesday, March 5 and 12, 1 to 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Matthew Byrne brings the rich musical traditions of “The Rock” to Pender Harbour, March 24, 2 p.m. at the School of Music. Tickets $30 on the Pender Harbour Music Society website.
The Volunteer Tax Program begins today, March 1, and is available until April 30. Volunteers are trained to assist you with your income tax preparation. It’s a free service for eligible clients. Three options are available: 1. Walk in Clinics, first come, first serve at the Community School - 5012 Gonzales Rd Mondays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the PH Health Centre, 5066 Francis Peninsula Road, Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to noon. Note, at visits, wear a mask, wash, sanitize your hands and be healthy. 2. Drop off (your tax information)/ pick up (your completed tax return) at the community school, Monday to Friday.
