This day long extravaganza on Saturday, April 26 has unlimited enjoyment for everyone. Yes there are the wild and wet boatbuilding races, but also food kiosks, mini boatbuilding, displays, activities and crafts for kids of all ages at Millennium Park. This amazing day is presented by the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society with support of local businesses, community organizations and generous sponsors. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, hit the Pender Harbour community hall when the doors open for the first Saturday market of the season. Muriel has been working overtime on this one. It will be a big one with a bake sale, a plant sale (including Wilma Thompson’s famous heirloom tomato plants) a craft sale and a flea market with unlimited treasures.

Don’t miss the special garden club event this Wednesday, April 30 at noon at the School of Music. Gary Lewis, owner of Phoenix Perennials, will present a dazzling showcase “hot new perennials.” He will also have plants for sale. Admission by donation for non-members. Why not join the Pender Harbour garden club and learn fun and informative gardening secrets?

On Thursday, May 1, join Harbourside Friendships for a morning of movement with Gwen and an introduction to Yoga with Carole at the community hall at 10:30 a.m. A hot lunch will be served at noon for $10. Cathy has more details at 604-883-9760.
