June 13, 1939 - April 7, 2024
Born in Alert Bay, BC., "Bob" always loved the West Coast. He was a pipefitter by trade, working at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper in his early profession. His heart was always calling him back to the ocean though. This brought him to change his careers many times in his life.
He was a halibut fisherman in Prince Rupert, where you could always find him in the West End coffee shop telling tall tales with all the locals. Next, he tried his hand in beachcombing, helping often on the set of our local show "The Beachcombers". Throughout his working career, he always made time to go hunting, fishing and fixing up old vehicles. There was never a dull moment in Bob's life.
Bob is predeceased by his son, Wayne. He is survived by his daughter Lynn, son Scott (Candice), and son Dustin (Jamie). He has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His life changed tragically over 20 years ago. An accident left him with severe disabilities. Even though he was unable to speak, you could always see the spark in his eyes when you told him a joke, or said his family was coming to visit. No one could ever beat him in an arm wrestle, which always put a smile on his face, too.
He received phenomenal care over this period of time. Our family has so much love and gratitude for all the health care teams who helped and supported him in his journey. There are too many people to name. All who worked for Totem Lodge, Christenson Village and Shorncliffe Extended Care Home. The Pauloski children cannot thank you enough for giving of yourselves to care for our father.
Love you all,
Lynn, Scott and Dustin Pauloski
Rest in peace, Dad
