Jan passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Wednesday, March 20th in Sechelt, BC after a courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her husband of over 30 years Bill, parents Mitzi and Jim and sister Karen. Survived by children Jodi, and Cory (Hazel), grandchildren Taylor, Maddie, Carson and Carter.
Jan was known for her loving personality, infectious smile and her wholehearted love for dogs. She spent her winters in California playing pickle ball and was also a volunteer for the "Loving All Animals Rescue" for the past eight years during which she fostered countless dogs while they awaited their adoptive families. She was an avid hiker who loved the outdoors and enjoyed painting, yoga and dancing.
The family would like to thank all the amazing healthcare workers on the Sunshine Coast who provided her such exceptional care.
Jan was so deeply loved and will be so greatly missed by all. To honour Jan's wishes, a celebration of her life will be held in June.
In Jan's memory donations to the Elder Dog Canada (Sunshine Coast Pawd) would be appreciated.
