April 3, 1934 - October 22, 2024
Neil was a longtime Gibsons resident, having moved here in his early teens. He had many occupations in the early years: logging, raising turkeys, among others before a career in the pulp and paper industry with Canfor in Port Mellon. He was very proud of being a steam engineer for the company and stayed with it until retirement.
Predeceased by his wife Sylvia in 2001 and his daughter Donna Alexander in 2015, Neil is survived by his loving partner, Kay Zantolas, his older brother, Ian Maclean, his daughter Valerie (Phillip) McNutt, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A family gathering is planned for a later date.
A special thank you to Neil's neighbours, Colleen and Don, for all the help and support, especially the last few years. The family would also like to thank the ambulance personnel who provided help on his last day, Dr. Tran, the doctors and nurses at Sechelt hospital.
