June 21, 1970 - March 25, 2025
Kenny-D was born in Sechelt, BC, on June 21, 1970, along with his twin brother Glenn to Annie and Cliff Dempster. The Dempsters moved to Roberts Creek, which Kenny called home for his childhood years, attending Roberts Creek Elementary and Elphinstone. Predeceased by his close friend Meagan Sheridan, brother Slugger (Derek) (1998), his father Cliff (2007) and mother Annie (2009). Kenny grew up as part of the Henderson Road crew, enjoying many wonderful days at the beach, fishing off the rocks, swimming and exploring the forest where he most felt at home. Kenny's wild spirit and kind heart made him unforgettable to whoever was lucky enough to know him. His younger days had him playing any sport he could, but he proved to be a legend at baseball and played until an adult. Anyone who knew Kenny knows that there isn't a harder worker - he proved himself during his days in commercial fishing and later in construction. His struggles affected his health, and he left us peacefully on March 25, 2025. He leaves behind his loving family, Wally (Lori), Deidre (Lyle), Dennis (Debbie), Bruce (Peggi), Glenn (Melanie) Nieces and nephews Ryan (Kelly), Travis (Chanda), Chris (Sarah), Joleen (Tyler), Brent, Conner (Madi), Allysa, Charlie, Madi, Derek, Brad, Alexis and Gemma along with many great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Kenny also leaves a large family of close and dear friends who he loved so much. We cannot thank enough the people who helped and cared for him during his life, especially Raincity, where he was given the care, respect and dignity he deserved. As he makes his journey now, he will bring light and love to his next stop. We love you, Uncle Kenny. A celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
