Obituary: Gordon Hall

After a lengthy illness, Gord passed away at Peace Portal Care Home in Surrey.

He is survived by his wife Pearl, daughters, Sharon Williams, Kathleen Hall and Nadine VanGaalen ( Steve). He also leaves behind his extended family, Lynda Young and Bryon Low, Brenda Sahban ( Paul ) and numerous grandchildren. He will be missed by his sisters, Judy Eason and Trisha Sol. Gord was pre-deceased by his infant son Stephen and his first wife Maureen.

Gord’s life was spent in public service volunteering in several capacities. He was a founding member of the Sunshine Coast Lions Club and Coast Power Squadron, where he spent many years teaching safe boating. In his earlier years he was a board member and then chair of Sechelt’s St Mary’s hospital. For many years he was very active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary becoming president for Western Canada.

Moving to White Rock in 2020 to become closer to family, his heart remained on the Sunshine Coast, and his very many special friends there.

There will be a memorial service at a future date.
