Fred has joined Rocky in a better place.
He leaves behind Phyl and Buddy to miss his love, his help, and his humour.
Fred was born in Hornsea, East Yorkshire, England. He emigrated to BC in 1969 after completing his auto mechanics apprenticeship.
Fred lived in Gibsons with his wife Phyl since 1987 and spent 20 years as a commercial landscape contractor.
He had a true talent for photography, wood carving, gardening, bird watching, and nattering with friends and neighbours in the community.
Fred leaves behind in the UK daughters Gem and Max, granddaughter Ella, sister Dorothy, brother Phil, and many good old mates.
Sincere thanks to everyone who cared:
Max, Gem, Mark from the UK for your visit.
Norm for flying out from Australia to see him.
Eileen and Simon for their help and support.
Paul for his love and keeping in touch.
Liz and Brian (Red Deer AB) for coming to help.
Dearest Ruby, always above and beyond for us.
Our many friends and neighbours in Gibsons Parkland, what a wonderful group of people.
Our GP Paul Murphy and all the good docs and nurses involved over Fred's extended illness.
Cheers Fred, you are so well loved.
