June, 1930 – January 2025

Bruce was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, one of five children and the son of a grain trader. Bruce started his career with the Royal Bank of Canada before transferring with the bank to New York where he met his wife Joan while on a skiing trip in the Laurentians. After working in Manhattan, he and Joan moved with the bank to Montreal and later Jamaica before leaving the bank and returning back to Canada. Bruce and Joan then moved to Calgary where he took on management roles first at Loram and then at Sprung. Retiring to Okotoks where they raised sheep for several years, Bruce and Joan later moved to Gibsons, B.C. to be closer to family and take advantage of coastal life. An avid stamp collector, Bruce lived a full life travelling, sailing, and giving back to his community through numerous volunteer activities including federal politics, local business associations, and recreational clubs. Bruce is survived by his wife Joan, their daughter Sara (Scott), grandson Dugald, and son Scott (Tammy).

Bruce will be sorely missed.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to friends, neighbours, and the medical community on the coast for all their support these past few years.
