We are very sad to tell you that our dear friend, Deb Hives, passed away on Monday, October 21, from an invasive struggle with cancer. She was only 58.
Deb left behind the love of her life, Doug Reed. They were a pair to be admired. Her family grieves her death - her sons Sam and Eric, stepdaughters Tyra and Teryne, her beloved Aunt Carla, Uncle Don and her grandson Theo.
Deb has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast for much of her life. She went to Elphinstone Secondary and loved the music program in particular. She was an avid reader. She loved to cook. She was intelligent, and she loved her family.
Deb was given excellent care at the Sechelt/Shishalh Hospital. The family thanks the nurses and the doctors who cared for her.
May her soul be at peace.
