With sorrow we announce the passing of Corene (Co) Lindsay.

Corene is from Pender Harbour, the fourth child of Fred and Anita Klein. She left Pender Harbour at 17 to complete her education, and continued that process through a full and productive life, eventually completing degrees in accounting, Hospital Administration, as well as a Masters degree in Archaeology after retiring from healthcare. During her career she set up the first remote satellite clinics and health stations in the remote communities in the Yukon, ran the Tranquille institute and built and ran the Overlander Hospital, both in Kamloops. She also raised prize winning German Shepherds and her and her husband Tony travelled extensively.

She moved back to the coast in 2001, settling in Gibsons to be close to family. She remained feisty, active and independent right to the end. We will always remember her wit, sense of humor, intelligence and her indomitable spirit. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and one sister. A celebration of life will be held in Sechelt.
