Carol Dowie (nee Banister) of the clan McLeod took her last breath on September 29, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Carol is predeceased by her son Corey and survived by her daughter Donna (Keith); daughter-in-law Julia; son Jason (Corey); daughter Joy; grandchildren Cory, Justin, Rose, Annabelle, Logan, Abigail, Travis, Georgia, Gracie, Jesse, Dean and Terri; brother Roy (Linda); niece Karen; nephew Kevin; and close friend Dale. In the 90s, she settled on the Sunshine Coast and made it her home. Carol cared deeply for her community and retired after working for many years as a mental health outreach worker. She also volunteered with Arrowhead. Carol will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
There will be a service on November 1, 2024, at 5:30 pm at Saint Hilda's Anglican Church in Sechelt, BC, with light refreshments to follow.
