Obituary:  Adeline Josepha Chamberlain (nee Eberle)

June 20, 1936 – August 1, 2024

Youngest daughter of Anton & Margaret Eberle. She was born in Unity Saskatchewan and moved with her 7 older brothers and sisters to Kelowna, BC. Predeceased by her husband Earl Chamberlain, Adeline moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1968 with her family and started the Peninsula Drive-In & Dining Lounge with her first husband John.

She worked many long days as well as caring for her six children. “Mama” as her children called her was a loving, special lady. Her friends knew her as an exceptional person, she travelled several times with them and was able to go to Rome, fulfilling a lifelong dream of hers. She also travelled with her husband Earl on several cruises and for many years went to live in the US for half of the year, where she and Earl played countless games of shuffleboard.

Adeline leaves behind six children, Tony, Dennis, Greg, Bonnie, Darren and Lori Ann, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the special palliative care team from Home Care Services for the wonderful, loving care they provided for Adeline.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 956 Gibsons Way Gibsons BC V0N1V7 on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:30am. Following Mass friends and family are welcome to join the family at St. Mary’s Hall for a reception. Interment will follow at Seaview Cemetery, Gibsons BC at 2:30pm.
