Kisses and Kicks: July 7 edition

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of July 7!

  • A lifetime of kisses to the all the staff, & families at CGE, and Castle Rock Kennels for the love and support they’ve shown our family during a difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and is something we will always hold dear in our hearts. Thank you for making a stressful time a little less stressful.  Love the “B” Family.
  • Kisses to all the 2-legged and 4-legged walkers, their supporters, and the sponsors who together, raised $4,000 for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. The Oakville, Ontario facility says thank you, along with Sechelt Dog Guide recipient Bill and his faithful Lionheart (woof).
  • Many hugs and kisses to Aaron Greenwald...for his quick thinking and implementing the Heimlich Maneuver when someone was choking at the barbecue. You are a true hero. Many thanks from community. God Bless you, Aaron.
  • Fire safety kisses to the Sechelt Fire Department fellow with his weed-eater that was going from fire hydrant to fire hydrant in Sandy Hook to clear the area! Our fire hydrants are now so much more visible even though I hope we will never have to use them!
  • Kisses to Doug Spani for his failed efforts to build a seniors retirement complex a few years ago. Big kicks to the road blocks that made it so it was never built … and now I am forced to leave my home of 34 years for retirement living elsewhere.
  • Kicks to the scofflaws who believe the laws aren’t for them. Noise pollution, dogs running wild, roosters going off from dawn to dusk. And to the officials who do not enforce valid complaints.
  • Kisses and lots of Hugs to Yvonne for her visit and large bouquet of roses. You made my day!
  • Hugs and kisses to Linda, Marlene and all the wonderful people who searched for my hearing aids during and after the SoulStream dance. Despite your busy night you went out of your way to help. And thanks to Oryane who found them and tracked me down to return. You all rock and so does SoulStream.
  • A tank full of thanks and gratitude to my very kind neighbour who came to my rescue when my hot water tank exploded. You really helped me a lot and reaffirmed what a great neighbourhood we live in.

Kisses to Jessy and Brian for their generous offering to educators across the coast.  You know how to rock and we love you for it!
