A pair of holiday fundraisers in Gibsons raised more than $16,000 for local causes:
The 28th annual Festival of Lights at Tim Hortons and Wendy’s in Gibsons raised more than $10,000 for the Sunshine Coast Greenup Football Club. The club thanked their sponsors and Tim Hortons/Wendy’s in a press release.
The Sea of Lights at Gibsons Marina raised $6,000 for Sunshine Coast Salvation Army. “Every year the Sea of Lights reminds us of the great community we live in by helping to feed our neighbors through the wonderful sponsors and donations,” said Darrell Pilgrim of Salvation Army. “Thank you to Klaus Fuerniss and the Gibsons Marina team for the continued support.”
