The 14th Annual Halloween Howl Dance and Costume Extravaganza with Brandon Isaak and the Saints of Swing is this Saturday Oct. 26 at the Pender Harbour Community Hall. This will be the event of the season, an evening of outstanding music, dancing, and crazy costumes! Tickets at the EarthFair Bookstore or online www.phblues.ca, $30. Sponsored by the great folks at the IGA Madeira Park and brought to you by the Pender Harbour Blues Society.   

The Legion’s Sunday Dance Party Oct. 27, 2 to 5 p.m will have live music with the fantastic Them Ordinary Things. The kitchen will be open. Enjoy a wonderful afternoon! $10 at the door.  

The Pender Harbour Garden Club is pleased to present Alisha M’Lot on Monday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the School of Music. Alisha’s topic is “Putting your Garden to Rest for the Winter.” Alisha M’Lot is a farmer at Grounded Acres Organic Farm with more than six years of experience in sustainable vegetable cultivation. She has taught the UBC farmer training program and operated her own farm. Alisha will share practical tips for preparing your garden for winter. including cover cropping, soil care, and winter crop planning, ensuring a strong start for the next growing season. Drop in $5. Coffee, tea, and snacks.  

Pender Harbour Community Bingo will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30 rather than Thursday, which is Halloween, at the PH Community Hall. Games begin at 6:30 p.m. 50 Call Jackpot Game will be $1,000! Bring your friends for a great evening of fun and games and $$$! Bingo returns to Thursdays, Nov. 7.
