Harbour-Egmont Highlights: Rescued bear cub doing well

Here's what's happening in Pender Harbour and Egmont
C. Sakinaw
This tiny cub from Sakinaw Lake captured the hearts of community members as they searched for the severely underweight black bear.

Happy to report Sakinaw, the tiny bear cub rescued in our area earlier this year, is doing well at Critter Care Wildlife.

Our resident bears are beginning to emerge from their dens. Please secure all garbage and attractants around your home and establishment and be “bear aware” when hiking and biking Coast trails. Please go to scbearalliance.com to learn about living respectfully and safely with our bears.
