The Pender Harbour Golf Club hosts their “Giant Yard Sale” fundraiser Sunday, April 24 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are fun and games for everyone. Proceeds will go towards repairing damage done by this past winter’s storms and general improvements.

The Women’s Connection is starting up again on Tuesday, April 26. Their first feature speaker will be commercial beekeeper Steve Clifford of Halfmoon Honey. April Tools Wooden Boat Challenge is a full day of activities, displays, demonstrations, vendors, and the jewel in the crown, the outrageously entertaining Boatbuilding Competion and Race. Celebration of Life for Paul Gaudet will be held April 30, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Legion Hall Madeira Park. If you would like to share something about Paul but are not comfortable speaking in public, please write up your story and the MC will read it out for you.
Time to get your tickets for the Reading Centre’s fundraiser “Books ‘N’ Blooms” event, Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This self-guided garden tour includes six very different gardens, including a unique waterfront property, a sculpture garden and a woodland retreat. During the Books ‘N’ Blooms event, the Sarah Wray Hall will be open between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. This is a great chance to visit this iconic heritage schoolhouse and talk to Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society volunteers about many of the projects under way in the Harbour. The PHLHS will be holding their AGM of Friday, May 13 at 1 p.m. at Sarah Way Hall. Everyone is welcome.
