To report a marine emergency use channel 16 on marine VHF radio, or No. 727 (#SAR), or No. 16 by mobile phone. You can also dial 1-800-567-5111 toll free to get to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria. It is a good idea to copy this information and carry it with you. Be safe on the water.

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun at pickleball nights. All skill levels are invited to come out at 7 p.m. to Halfmoon Bay Elementary School this Monday, April 28.

All equipment is provided. There is a drop-in charge of $3.

The Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre in Halfmoon Bay is offering their popular animal wellbeing (healing) course on the weekend of May 3 and 4. They are looking for people to bring their animals to receive a complimentary healing.  Complimentary healing appointments will be 20 minutes in length and you can book a time by calling the centre at 604-740-0898. The Halfmoon Bay branch of St. Mary's Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary is having a bake, craft and plant sale on Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trail Bay Mall.
