A reminder that the 6th Roberts Creek Scout Group is holding its annual bottle drive this Saturday, Jan. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Caps Off Bottle Depot (behind Trail Bay Centre Mall), Sechelt. For pick-up, please call 604-741-7282 by noon on Jan. 7. All funds raised will help support Scouting activities on the Coast. Thank you.
Members and guests with members are welcome at all events at the Roberts Creek Legion. If you aren’t a member, you can still attend and join on the spot! Here are some of the benefits: you can book an event at the Legion; just contact them. The kitchen is open every Tuesday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. (minors are welcome with their parents). Enjoy a variety of musical events, Trivia games and much more.
On Friday, Jan. 6 come join the folks at the Roberts Creek Legion for BrainFreeze Trivia. This is a casual and fun night. Create a team of up to five people, or join an existing team ($5 entry fee). All are welcome.
On Saturday at 9 p.m. is Part 2 of Latin Funk Fiesta, a swinging DJ dance event. Part 1 was sold out, so come early to get tickets.
And don’t forget Tuesday is A.D.D.’s weekly jam night from 7:30 to 11 p.m. The Legion is located at 3064 Lower Road and parking is off Largo Road, behind the building.
Next Friday, Jan. 13 at the Legion is long-time favourite Jim Taylor with his unique brand of danceable tunes. Mark your calendars now.
Tuesday, Jan. 10 from noon to 6 p.m. is Perogies Galore at the Hall. Thursday, Jan. 12 from 3 to 6 p.m., enjoy Curry in the Creek, also at the Hall.
