This Friday, Oct. 31 is Halloween and it is a busy one. Please drive slowly and watch for trick or treaters and partygoers. For those out walking make sure you have flashlights, reflective tape and walk on the correct side of the road facing the traffic. Have a safe one.
If you are not going out in search of candy, then enjoy dinner at the Roberts Creek Legion with music played by Bonar Harris. Then at 9 p.m., enjoy Modern Terror.
The Walk on Dead Halloween party gets going at 8 p.m. at the Creek Hall. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for this 19-plus party.
This Saturday, Nov. 1 is the first big “first of the month” book sale at the Roberts Creek library.
Wonderful books will be on sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come on in and browse around and get started on your Christmas gifts.
The library can always use some more volunteers, so stop on by. Weekly hours are 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Sunshine Coast Grandmothers and Grandothers will host its annual Christmas fundraiser next Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Creek Hall.
Join them for lunch and enjoy handmade gifts, cards, local crafts, books, a bizarre bazaar, silent auction, new-again table, bake table and homemade jams/jelly. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign.
Enjoy your weekend and do not forget to let me know if you have events to share. Call 604-885-2282 or email [email protected].
