It’s only fitting the Coasters Car Club returns to our roots for our 27th year. On July 23, Sunshine GM is hosting the collector car and street rod community at their lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Our first-ever car show was held at Sunshine GM and it has grown to become our annual Sleepy Hollow Rod Run and Show and Shine, an event that is only weeks away – Aug. 11 and 12 (and the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Club has drag racing at the airport Aug. 13). Prepare for the Festival of the Rolling Arts to once again delight and excite the viewers of our Friday night Rod Run to the show on Cowrie Street on Saturday.
In other car club news, Coasters this year supplied our cars for a photo shoot at the Blue Ocean Golf Course for the grads of Sechelt Alternate School, and to the surprise of the Grade 7 grads from Langdale and Halfmoon Bay Elementary Schools, we supplied transportation to their graduation after parties at Chaster House in Bonniebrook and Cooper Green in Halfmoon Bay. The children really enjoyed their special rides.
