Kisses and Kicks: Kicks for telling other people how to live their lives

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of MONTH DAY!

  • The guys at Suncoast Lock and Trophies in Sechelt are gems. They go above and beyond to help Coasters in a wide variety of emergency situations every day. So grateful!
  • Many kisses to the man who turned in my wallet at the Roberts Creek Legion on Thursday night with none of the contents missing. What a relief. A huge thank you.
  • Kicks to the people who tell others how to live their lives. Mind your own business. Free will and free choice. We live in a free country for now.
  • A riviera of kisses to Moe & Stash. Your ice tray gift really upped our game! Thanks so much, coastal neighbours! Hope we run into you here at home sometime.
  • Kisses to the kind folks who brought their elderly neighbour one of Bob Rebner’s walking sticks
  • to make it easier for her to walk her dog in the forest.
  • Ornamental cherry blossom kisses to all those lovely trees in downtown Sechelt.
  • Kisses to the knowledgeable presenters at the museum’s “Ancestors in the News” event last weekend. I learned so much! Kudos to our local archivists and librarians who help us learn more about where we come from.
  • Kisses to the people who post their whale sightings and photos online! Thanks for sharing.

Email your Kisses and Kicks to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 1 p.m. every Tuesday for a given week.

Coast Reporter will run kisses and kicks entries as space permits on a first-received, first-published basis.

Submissions must be accompanied by a name and phone number for confirmation by the editor. Names will not be printed in the column unless requested by the writer, for kisses only.

A kick is intended to be an anonymous critique between private parties and may in no way publicly identify an individual, group or business directly or indirectly.

Submissions must be no longer than 30 words. If your thanks or critique is longer, consider an ad in our classified section. The editor reserves the right to edit or refuse to run any submission.
