Sunny skies in the outlook for this weekend.

While both Weatherhood and Environment Canada call for a mix of sun and cloud today and on Jan. 22, full-on sun is in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

There is no rain in today's weather outlook but a 40 per cent chance of precipitation for Thursday, according to the federal weather authority.

Daytime high temperatures are expected to hover between 4 and 7 degrees for the next five days, with lows continuing to see drops to near or below the freezing point.

Environment Canada is calling for a return of rain on Tuesday, Jan 28, just in time for the Sunshine Coast Regional District's (SCRD) Coopers Green Park Enhancement Project open house.  Those interested can get details on that event and the full project at the SCRD "Lets Talk" page dedicated to that initiative.
