The old adage that March “comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb” appears to not apply to 2025 on the Sunshine Coast. So far, the first week of March has been more lamb-like than "lion-ish", with grey skies and warming temperatures.

Overcast skies and a daytime high temperature of 8 degrees C are in store for Sechelt on March 5, according to Weatherhood. Staying with the lamb theme, the winds today are forecast to top out in the 7 kilometre per hour (km/h) range.

Environment Canada's seven day outlook is for winds to become northwest at 20 km/h near midnight except gusting to 40 near the Strait of Georgia overnight. It is predicting late night lows at 1 degree. Nights are expected to stay frost-free for the next seven days.

A sunny 10 degree day is on tap for Thursday, according to the national weather service.
