Sechelt is expecting 22 millimetres of rain today, but the good news is according to Weatherhood, the sun will make an appearance tomorrow, Oct. 4, before we settle into a week of grey, damp and downright wet – we’re talking to you, Tuesday!
The sun is also expected to try to peak out at about 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, so those might be good times to walk the dog or run errands. Of course, if you’re working outside, you’re hopefully dressed for the weather.
Over at Environment Canada, the forecast is pretty much the same, but with a nice mix of sun and cloud expected for Thursday, Oct. 10, with a high of 15, so fingers crossed for a nice Thanksgiving long weekend, because no one wants to be stuck in ferry traffic in the rain.
Environment Canada is also expecting southeast winds of about 30km this afternoon, with gusts up to 50, before turning southwest with winds of about 20km, with gusts up to 40. A 50km gust of wind is strong enough to break an umbrella, so hold on tight if you’re heading outside this afternoon.
With these kinds of winds expected, it's always good to check the ferry conditions before heading out.
