Sunshine Coast weather: Winds on the way

Winds in the Gibsons area at slated to start Sept. 26 in the 20 kilometre per hour (km/h) range, then increase to 40 gusting to 60 km/h early this afternoon, and will taper off after midnight according to Environment Canada. That entity has issued a wind warning for our neighbours on the upper Sunshine Coast, and other coastal BC areas for the day.

Daytime high temperatures are not projected to rise above 12 degree today, but increase to the 15 degree range by the weekend, with some sun making a return to the area for this coming Sunday and Monday. But for today, more rain in in the forecast, with daily accumulations of about 5 millimetres.
