Where are our bear proof cans?

On Sept. 16, 2008 we ordered three certified bear proof garbage cans from the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD). We followed up on the order a month later. We offered prepayment. Today (July 21) is garbage pick-up day for our neighbourhood.

On Sept. 16, 2008 we ordered three certified bear proof garbage cans from the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD). We followed up on the order a month later. We offered prepayment.

Today (July 21) is garbage pick-up day for our neighbourhood. Our neighbour's garbage can did not last 10 minutes on the side of the road (shared driveway) before two bears were in it. The garbage can was put out at 10:30 a.m.

We have done our due diligence. Why hasn't the SCRD?
