How do we stop the proposed new changes to the Davis Bay highway? I think that almost everyone that voted for Mayor Darren Inkster and for that matter everyone else, does not want any changes made to the Davis Bay sea wall park.
Cutting a highway right up to the sidewalk in the most busy part of the park is crazy. What do we do? Write the Minister of Transportation. Write the Mayor of Sechelt and council. They all could have voted no to the $2.5 million to deplete our beautiful park.
The Roberts Creek official community plan says that they will not allow another highway through Roberts Creek. If their community can stand up to the Ministry of Highways and say no, why can't we? Due process was not followed in the proposed destruction of public property and we must have an action plan. If you love the Davis Bay sea wall park you will do something. Where is there another place like this on the Sunshine Coast?
