As Oscar Dorval's parents, we are humbled by the incredible generosity that has been extended to our family over the last year and a half while Oscar has been in cancer treatment.
The community of the Sunshine Coast has supported us financially, emotionally and spiritually while we have been on this difficult journey.
Everywhere we go, friends and strangers wish us well or inquire about Oscar's progress, and that is touching beyond words.
Thank you to Christine and Ian from Coast Reporter for writing wonderful articles about Oscar (Aug. 3), to Adrienne Ucciferri for all the donation boxes and the lovely letter to the editor of a few weeks back, and to all our fellow Coasters who continue to bless us with their kindness.
Oscar still has a long road ahead, probably several months, so beyond all of the support given so far, we ask everyone to remember our mantra: Oscar Dorval will be just fine.
