I have a 20 gallon Rubbermaid garbage can with a lid that fastens with a quarter turn which is opened easily by the garbage truck workers. It has been taken twice by bears and was dragged into the bush by a bear and it took the help of my daughters' dog to track it down.
There are no signs of damage on itand it is still as good as new. It cost less than $20 at the local hardware store about 15 years ago. This can has surely passed the test of standing up to being bearproof, as far as I am concerned.
