So much of our former four lane highway between North and Pratt roads is now lying uselessly fallow beneath bands of yellow traffic control lines. How can less road space for a constant number of vehicles possibly produce a calmer traffic result? With excellent, existing road space being put off limits by the new road pattern, traffic is clamming up and slowing down. I, a driver, am anything but calm when I crawl along in slow traffic while stretches of good road lie there unused.
The 'deciders' have asked us to be patient while they hope we get used to these changes. We are not impatient, we're just intolerant of a very bad plan being implemented in our community. We must continue our opposition until we have our former road space back.
