The 2024 fall edition of Sunshine Coast Life cover and article featured Don Mackenzie of Mackenzie Sea Services and Marina. I was very happy to see this well-deserved acknowledgment. Don has been a wonderful champion of our Dragon Boat club and in particular our former team, Sunshine Dragons Abreast. Year in and year out he has offered us space and deals with any issues as they arise. A few years ago, a steersperson in training accidently fell off the boat inside the dock area by the ramp. It was a challenge to get out of the water as the dock is high, she had to swim around to the other side and use a swim grid to get up. By the following week, Don had installed a ladder and life ring near our boat. We are very grateful Don, for all you have done for us. Thank you.
