Letters: The prospect of two conservative governments

Editor:

What wonderful news to wake up last week and hear that Kevin Falcon has agreed to join with the BC Conservatives. As a former Liberal and BC United party member, I believe Kevin should have made this move a month ago. Now we could have a Conservative federal government and a Conservative provincial government. This would allow us to get rid of two political parties that believe in printing money to keep the economy going rather than supporting business and free enterprise to make money and pay more tax in order to support government spending.

This potential change has been a long time coming and gives hope to those of us that were raised to believe in working to make a living rather than relying on government hand outs. The current federal government and provincial government have gone too far in supporting people who do not want to work and believe the government is responsible to give them a living wage.

Government should provide assistance to those people that genuinely require assistance and not to those who could be working for a living. I look forward to having a government that supports working for a living and not printing money to keep our economy going.
