I am tired of hearing about water shortages and excuses about supply chain issues and construction delays.
We have needed water for years and the results so far are less than adequate.
It’s time for the SCRD board and staff to get behind Mayor Henderson’s approach – get us the supply now, even if it’s just for a few years. And rely on industry experts to protect us from contamination (if there is any) and other worries and listen to their advice on how to build the best solutions for the long term.
We need water this summer and Henderson’s approach is the only one that offers us some hope. Why do people resist letting those capable of doing so to get the job done? Maybe the SCRD should ask the Mayor to take on this project – he wants to do it, he’s done it before, so let him do it for us again.
