The Sechelt district shouldn’t have spent a dime on something so explosive and secretive they cannot disclose the results to the people who foot the bill?

By what right are they spending our money on something we can’t see? What else are they hiding? What ever happened to the $100,000 to assess the Quarry Pit, to help solve our water shortages, the reason many voted for Henderson? How much did the audit cost? Sechelt District council should answer these questions.

If there were any virtue in this audit, they’d be open to discussing it, as elected officials should.

Let’s have some transparency about whatever the mayor said that was so egregious. Perhaps they’re afraid a majority of voters might agree with him.

Verbal assault is wide open for differing opinions these days. Grow up and get on with business.

The audit specifies a lack of trust and respect between the mayor and CAO. It has recommended a performance review for the CAO involving an Independent Advisor. Another family councilor, another waste of taxes and time, when they could be doing what they were elected to do, such as the performance review for the CAO.

Differences in ideology between the elected mayor and the unelected CAO seems the reason for all this money and time wasted. The inability to come together for the good of the District of Sechelt. The system is broken and we’re paying for it.
