Editor:
The Gibsons Landing Heritage Society (GLHS) has begun its Conservation Capital Campaign to revitalize the Heritage Playhouse. Located in a designated heritage building (1929) the Heritage Playhouse opened its doors in April 2000 and has since proved itself a valued community treasure. We depend on the community’s funding support to help us keep the doors open now and into the future. Funds raised will go to the repairs and restoration needed to keep the Heritage Playhouse in good order as we move into our next quarter century.
Generous private donors and organizations have already contributed close to $20,000 but much more is required to meet our building conservation goal of $130,000 to upgrade heritage windows, repaint the building, improve the grounds, and complete the transition to Energy efficient LED stage lights.
Now we’re asking you; this is a good time of year to join in with whatever donation you can afford to help us rejuvenate the Heritage Playhouse. Any donation over $25 will receive a tax receipt and our sincere gratitude. We also remind you that now is the time of year to consider the gift of stocks, bonds or mutual funds that GLHS is able to gratefully accept.
To make a donation, take out a membership, to volunteer or to find out what’s on the calendar, please visit the Heritage Playhouse at www.heritageplayhouse.com, Email [email protected], or call 604-886-8998.
Sincerely,
Dianne Evans, President, GLHS
