I recently had two procedures at the Sechelt Hospital. I cannot say enough good comments about the treatment I received.
The hernia operation was booked around my schedule. Yes, my schedule. I was booked within 30 days of going to my doctor. I met with the anesthesia doctor. I also had a pre-op meeting with a nurse. This was all done within a month. Upon arriving for my procedures, I was looked after in a timely manner. I felt like all of the individuals I met with treated me with respect and encouraged me. I felt like part of the team and I was the star.
So often I find when I go my doctor’s office I am treated indifferently by the support staff. I feel like I am a burden to them. I read the signs warning me to behave or I will be kicked out. Thank you, Sechelt Hospital for making my stay the best it could possibly be. It is another reason to live on the Sunshine Coast.
