Editor:
I get great pleasure, going to the farmers market in Sechelt on a Saturday. I meet friends and neighbours, and say hello to various venders I know. I buy vegetables, baking, pickles, plants, honey and lunch as well as gifts.
I hear that the market helps provide a living for people who live on the Coast. It also provides food security for coastal dwellers. They even have a voucher system for people who would otherwise not be able to afford healthy food.
I am worried that they have been asked to leave where they are without being given another workable spot. I hope the District of Sechelt council and the farmers market board and management can work together to find or create a workable new location if required.
