What a mess! I cannot believe the traffic mess on the highway near Selma Park, Sechelt. I thought we had sorted this out last time. This highway is our only way up and down this Coast and at some choke points the only route. So why do they allow workers to block the highway during the day at these points and hold us all to ransom? Backed up to Wilson Creek and then the Sechelt downtown, a complete chaotic mess for hours on end. Hundreds and hundreds of cars with nowhere to go and this includes tourists, buses, emergency vehicles and people with obligations to be there on time. Who is responsible for this? The highways department? Is this what our taxes buy us, a potholed, mismanaged road that we cannot depend on for even daily use? Highway construction should be done at night, like they do in Europe and the U.S.
