Mr. Evermon makes excellent points in his letter regarding big box stores (Coast Reporter, July 20).
Feeling somewhat hypocritical, I admit to shopping for bargains and/or variety in the big box stores in Vancouver if opportunity conveniently presented itself.
That being said, I plan to fight mightily against having such stores in our midst. Leave those monsters to the big city! Let us preserve our sweet way of life as well as our small retailers who have invested so much and given so generously to the community.
