I'm writing this letter because of a disturbing article I read in the June 19 issue of Coast Reporter.
A severed bear head was found and, according to a conservation officer, it was discovered after June 15, when bear hunting season was over.
Some people in the world disgust me. Aren't we past slaying animals brutally just because we can, just so we can have a real bear rug in our entrance?
Hunting bears should be illegal, period. If we think we are supposed to be advancing ethically, issues like these should be addressed.
