My attention was captured by James Graham's letter (Coast Reporter, Feb. 24) regarding the Town of Gibsons paying Gospel Rock fees.
It is very disturbing that Gibsons council takes so lightly the spending of Gibsons taxpayers' money. At the very least it shows poor management if not suggestive of something more curious.
I second Graham's proposal that developers show more consideration and be made to put something back into the community most of us love as it is. I can see development has a life of its own - but they owe us. We had the trump card. Most of us have lived here many, many years happily. If developers don't like what we want, then they can rethink their plan, make restitution or just go away.
Most of us were pleased and honoured to be able to live in so wonderful a landscape and want it to stay that way.
