Last week I left my shoulder bag in a shopping cart outside the Trail Bay Mall. I realised it right away and wheeled the car around to retrieve the bag, but it was already gone. I asked in all the stores where I had been shopping, but no one had seen it. The last place I checked was the Dollar Store, and there it was.

Now, the wonderful part of this story is that some unknown person saw the bag and instantly took it to the nearest store. The lovely lady in the Dollar Store opened it, found my business card, and left a message on my phone (which I found when I got home). She asked to see some ID before giving me my bag, making sure that I was indeed its rightful owner.

Aside from my obvious gratitude to the honest folks who returned and protected my shoulder bag, I was struck once again by what an extraordinaryplace my Sunshine Coast is. I'm glad to be part of such a wonderfulcommunity.
