Editor:
Thank you very much for the great article on Hidden Grove ("Exposing a hidden gem," Coast Reporter, July 16). Especially thank you for expressing appreciation to the volunteers who work so hard to make and groom the trails for all to use.
You mentioned the new brochures we have - I am pleased to advise the Sunshine Coast Bed & Breakfast, Cottage Owners Association recently agreed to pay for the printing of a Coast-wide supply. The first of the new brochures with their logo in place are being distributed as this letter is written. They are available at the Sechelt Visitors Centre.
We appreciated Mr. Henderson's kind words and wish to reciprocate with our thanks for the efforts being made by the Community Forest to further the Hidden Grove. On July 20, a meeting was held to revise the parking lot plans to better accommodate school buses. Plans are afoot for trails going out of the Grove proper to interpretative areas for educational groups.
If you have not visited the Grove recently, we encourage you to do so. There are some new trails and it is always relaxing and lovely. The tourists are certainly finding it. Just 10 days ago, a group of more than 30 Koreans visited commenting they enjoyed being able to see so much of the forest world in such a short and easy walk. Lots of information at www.hiddengrove.net. for you to review.
We are all very upbeat and we appreciate everyone who has contributed to the progress in the past and all those who are helping us so very much as we go forward.
