What an upstanding young citizen the Sunshine Coast has in Jared Wheldon, the 10 year old who asked his friends to bring toys and treats for homeless animals instead of birthday presents for himself, and then donated them, plus a cheque for $30, to the SPCA. He is an excellent example for his peers to emulate. Congratulations to Jared, and to his parents, who obviously have done a fine job in raising their son.
